The first wedding I officiated was for friends I met through my supper club, back in 2005. Since then, I’ve officiated many others. Some have been for old friends, and some for couples who quickly became friends as they invited me into those sacred moments in their lives.
I have enjoyed officiating all kinds of weddings, and because I believe love is as big as it gets, I’m broadly inclusive in the couples I work with. Whether you are an interfaith couple, would identify as spiritual but uncomfortable with traditional religious language, want a traditional wedding, or don’t fit the traditional mold at all, I am happy to explore what will reflect your partnership most authentically.
I am an ordained Deacon in the United Methodist Church, and earned my Master of Divinity at Candler School of Theology at Emory University. While my feet and heart are happily set in the rich traditions of Christianity, I believe the power of love is greater than any of our words or ideas can capture.
Also, I’m a sucker for good cheese, strong hearts, a poem (or three) each morning, and jumping in the ocean.
