When we live in love, each important passage offers us the opportunity to mark it with intention, gathering of beloveds, and recognition of what is sacred within us and beyond us.
Even when grief, tragedy, sorrow, and memory bring us together, we can hold one another in trust and love. While many people may think of funerals and weddings as opposite kinds of experiences, those in which I have been involved have held this in common. I believe in the importance of creating a funeral or memorial service that celebrates the life that has passed while holding the grief and hope that continue in those who live on, and am honored when a family welcomes me into this important time in their lives.
Other times of passage – a new home, a milestone, a claiming of a new part of our identity – may also be marked with such gatherings. Please be in touch to discuss an idea or stirring you have to honor your passage.
